Feng Hsin, one of the major electric furnace mills in Taiwan, has followed up with Chia Steel Corp.'s step to cut its base price by NT$400/ton for carbon steel wire rod and bars in this December. After Feng Hsin's new price has been released, its new base prices for Al-killed steel wire rod will be about NT$20,400/ton, and its actual transaction price in the market will be about NT$19,400~NT$19,900/ton; its new base price for JIS G4051 S54C round bar with outside diameters of 13mm to 100 mm will be about NT$21,100/ton and its actual selling price will be about NT$20,100~NT$20,600/ton. Besides, its new base price for JIS G4053 SCM440 alloy wire rod will fall to NT$25,100/ton. This is the first time that Feng Hsin to cut its wire rod and bar price after the company has kept its price flat for five months long.
